Payments
How money flows in Bookitive — straight to your bank account, never through ours — and what each of the five payment methods really means.
The payments model is one sentence: buyers pay you directly, and Bookitive never holds your money. There is no platform balance, no payout schedule, no waiting — a buyer's transfer lands in your bank account, and Bookitive's job is to recognize it and release the tickets.
The Payments page (organization sidebar, under Revenue) is the hub: an Overview (your payout bank account, the state of automatic matching, and your methods) and an Incoming payments tab for reconciling your bank transactions.
The five payment methods
| Method | Where | Order starts as | Money moves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bank transfer | Online + box office | Reserved | Buyer's bank → your account, matched by variable symbol |
| Card | Box office | Paid | Your own card terminal — Bookitive isn't involved |
| Cash | Box office | Paid | The cash drawer |
| Pay at the door | Online (opt-in per event) | Reserved | Collected at the entrance |
| Complimentary | Box office | Paid | No money — free tickets with full ticket mechanics |
Per event you choose which methods are on (Event settings → Payment methods); at least one must stay enabled. New events start with bank transfer, card, cash, and complimentary — pay at the door is opt-in because unpaid door-pay reservations are a no-show risk you should choose deliberately.
There is no online card processing today — "card" means a physical terminal at your box office. Online buyers pay by bank transfer with a prefilled QR code, which in Czech banking settles within hours and costs you zero processing fees.
Your payout account
The bank account you enter here (or during onboarding) is printed in every payment instructions email together with the QR code. Change it anytime — future reservation emails use the new account; already-sent emails obviously keep the old one, so time the change outside a sales peak.
What this section covers
- Bank transfers — the QR payment, the variable symbol, deadlines, and the buyer's experience.
- Automatic matching — connect your Fio account and stop checking the bank manually.
- Refunds — money going the other way, batched, and always signed by a human.
