Getting started

Your account

Profile, password and passwordless sign-in, password reset, interface language, and how your account relates to organizations.

Not verified yet

Your account is personal — it's you, not your organization. One account can belong to many organizations, and your profile, password, and language follow you across all of them. Open it from the user menu in the sidebar footer → Account.

Signing in

Bookitive supports two ways in:

  • Email + password — the classic.
  • Passwordless code — enter your email and receive a 6-digit code (valid 10 minutes). Typing it signs you in; if the email is new, it creates your account on the spot, verified and without a password. You can set a password later, or keep signing in with codes forever.

Forgot your password? The reset flow emails you a 6-digit code and lets you set a new one.

Sign-in, code login, and password-reset requests respond the same whether or not an email exists in the system — so nobody can use those forms to find out whether an address has a Bookitive account. The one exception is password sign-up: creating an account with an email already in use returns a clear "an account with this email already exists" error, which does reveal the address is registered.

Profile and settings

  • Name — shown to your teammates (invitations, audit log, assignees).
  • Email — read-only in the app; contact support to change it, since it's your identity across organizations.
  • Password — set or change it here. Changing your password signs out every other session everywhere — the standard remedy for a laptop left signed in somewhere.
  • Language — English or Czech. Controls the admin interface and the language of operational emails Bookitive sends to you. (What your buyers receive is configured separately, per organization — see Emails.)

Accounts and organizations

Creating an organization makes you its Owner. Joining one happens by invitation: the invite email's link shows what you're being offered; accepting with a signed-in account whose email matches the invite grants the roles. One account, many hats — the organization switcher in the header moves you between them.
