Customers
Your organization-wide customer book — everyone who ever bought, with lifetime stats, cross-event order history, profile actions, and export.
The Customers book (organization sidebar) is everyone who has ever bought from you, across every event — a durable record of your audience that outlives any single event. It's where "has this person been here before?" and "what did they buy last year?" get answered.
The book
Each customer row aggregates a person's whole relationship with you:
- lifetime orders and lifetime spend,
- last order and how many events they've attended.
Search finds anyone by name, email, or phone. The organization-wide Orders list is the per-transaction companion; this is the per-person view.
The customer profile
Open a customer for their full picture:
- contact details and the lifetime stats,
- their complete order history across all events,
- quick actions — resend an order's email, cancel an order (which queues a refund if it was paid).
Inside an event, a customer's profile is scoped to that event — their orders and their seats for the event — reached from the guest list.
Where customers come from
Customers are created from orders — buying is what puts someone in the book. At the box office their details autocomplete from here, so a returning regular is one keystroke, not a re-type.
Exporting — carefully
The book exports to XLSX, CSV, or JSON with a column picker. Two guardrails worth knowing, both deliberate:
- Exporting customers is a separate permission (
customers.export) — Members can view the book but not take it home. - Every export is audited — pulling a list of people's contact details is an action your organization can always account for.
The book is contact and purchase history — it is not a mailing list you can blast. Marketing to these people has its own rules and its own opt-in; see Marketing and consent.
