Recovery emails

Rescue almost-lost sales — a reminder before an unpaid reservation expires, and an opt-in follow-up after it does — with the report that proves they worked.

Not verified yet

Not every buyer pays on the first sitting. Recovery emails chase the ones who didn't: a reminder before an unpaid reservation expires, and an optional follow-up after it does. Both are honest nudges to people who genuinely started an order — and together they recover sales you'd otherwise never see.

The reservation reminder

On by default. When an unpaid reservation is getting close to its deadline, the buyer gets one "don't forget to pay" email with the payment details again.

  • Lead time — "send how many hours before the reservation expires?" — is yours to set, 1 to 168 hours (default 24), in Emails, and can be overridden per event.
  • It sends once per order (never nags), and is skipped for reservations shorter than the lead window — a one-hour box-office hold doesn't fire a reminder the buyer would never read in time.

The abandoned-order follow-up

Off by default — a deliberate opt-in. When an unpaid reservation expires and its seats return to sale, this email invites the buyer to order again while seats are still available, with a link straight back to the event.

Turn it on in Emails when you want to recover expired reservations. It too sends once per order, only while the event is still on sale and upcoming, and after a short grace period past expiry (so it never races the expiry itself).

The two emails cover the two failure points: the reminder catches a buyer before they lose their seats; the follow-up catches them after, when the seats are free again. Running both is the complete net — reminder on (it already is), follow-up on when you want the extra recovery.

Proof they work

The Sales analytics Recovered by emails panel reports exactly how each performed — "34 of 120 paid · 28 %" for the reminders and the follow-ups separately. This is the number that justifies the follow-up: if a quarter of chased reservations convert, leaving it off is leaving money on the table.
